Biography

The singer, actress, and model Bae Su-ji (Korean: born October 10, 1994) is a South Korean singer, actress, and model best known by her stage name Bae Suzy. Suzy used to be a member of the girl group Miss A, which was managed by JYP Entertainment. She made her acting debut in the television series Dream High (2011), and since then she has appeared in a number of other series, including Gu Family Book (2013), Uncontrollably Fond (2016), While You Were Sleeping (2017), Vagabond (2019), and Start-Up (2020), among others (2020). She made her feature film debut with Architecture 101 in 2003. (2012). As a result of her critically acclaimed cinematic debut, she has been dubbed “The Nation’s First Love” in her native nation.

Bae’s parents, Bae Wan-young and Jeong Hyun-sook, were married on October 10, 1994, in Gwangju, South Korea, and had a son, Bae Wan-young. Bae auditioned for Mnet Superstar K in 2009 and made it past the preliminary round, however, she was eliminated in the final round of the competition. She, on the other hand, drew the attention of a scout from JYP Entertainment, and she soon found herself working as a trainee.
